Playa Puerto Cruz

Playa Puerto Cruz is a long white-sand beach on a slightly curving bay on the northern coast of Margarita Island. Both hotel Hesperia and Dunes Resort guests have access to this beach (one on each end of it).

The public access road to playa Puerto Cruz is somewhere in the middle part of the beach. There is a large parking lot, and a short paved path leads to the actual beach.

Since the beach is quite long (though not as long as Playa El Agua), there is plenty of space and the beach is not crowded. Many people from Dunes hotel enjoy walking back and forth on the beach.

The beach chair rental service is available during high seasons, as well as a restaurant. It was closed though on the day we visited (a Wednesday in November).

The beach deepens fairly quickly and the waves here can be rough so this beach is not the best for swimming.
